The total square footage installed is about 800, and did require a second trip to the local custom millwork store to get additional boards.  We originally planned and designed the ceiling to have 8" boards, and at delivery we discovered that they were actually 6" boards.

That resulted in us being short about 120sf.  It did extend our budget, but not by much.
The tongue and groove was added to the Living Room, and Entryway, with plans to install it in the Mud Room.  The ceiling of the addition was wrapped in 6-mil plastic sheeting to complete the vapor barrier.

Installation started at the far end of the room, and progressed toward the entryway.

The boards were cut to length to end on the roof rafters.  We were unable to establish a random length pattern as we did with the shiplap due to the lack of additional boards, so it ended up with a stacked-like pattern.  While the pattern does exist, it's not as noticeable from a distance.

The table saw was used to run the last board at the beam(s), as the width was slightly shorter.

The jig saw was used to cut the holes out for the recessed lighting and the ceiling fans.  We decided to go with a copper theme, and it added a layer of depth an beauty to the natural wood surroundings.

The beam and the utility chase was wrapped in 1/2 plywood, matching the rest of the wood.  The trim and the beam/chase will be stained to match the color of the fireplace mantle.

While the living room was part of the larger project, installation of the tongue and groove in the entryway and mud room is a small project that can be done over a weekend.

The finished product gave us a great room that will provide us with beauty as the wood ages and the color deepens.
