The start of the Project House.  This was the first remodel that we conducted.  While it wasn't the longest, it definitely tested our DiY skills, and left us with many lessons learned, specifically the need for proper tools.

It was small and dark. The existing bathroom had a cheap fiberglass insert, with vinyl flooring and a reused vanity and light.  It had an avocado green paint that covered what was siding.  The siding extended throughout the kitchen, laundry room, and mud room.

It was a total removal and gut.  The demolition took a weekend, including removal of the flooring down to the subfloor.

The downstairs bathroom used to be a porch that was enclosed.  That enclosure used 1/8" luon plywood for the ceiling,  Removal of that was the most challenging, as years of dust and dirt came down.









Some re-framing to 16" on center was needed for the ceiling in the mud room and downstairs bath.












As the bathroom downstairs was an addition, plumbing had been extended from the upstairs bath.
